we had a taxi drop us off at the almost-very-top of the rock. from there, we hiked up to the top then started walking down. there were monkeys (which really freak me out) and caves (which are very cool) absolutely everywhere. the hike down took three-ish hours, and everyone in the group still has sore hips and shins from so much downhill walking. but it was worth the pain. such a beautiful place. here are a few photos:
ligon and i, a few miles away from the rock, right in front of our hotel. don´t let the photo fool you. it is a very, very big rock.

austin and a crying baby monkey.

me, acting like a japanese tourist.

a peak, from the point of view of another peak.

rock climbing.

jehra and a baby monkey. these things were hanging onto cars all over the place.

the group! about half of the way down the rock.

flowers and the view of the city of gibraltar from very, very high above.

a little street in the town.

so that´s that.
less than two weeks left of school, a week of traveling with the family, then home. time is going by so quickly!
