i have a new host home! it is beautiful: tall ceilings, gauzy curtains, antique floor tiles, a beautiful balcony view of a big plaza below (i will post photos soon!). my new roommate is so, so great. and the host family is comprised of a single, funky mom ("mi madre") and a 24-year-old daughter. we just had the best conversation over a delicious dinner. i couldn't be happier -- i'm so much more comfortable and i will learn spanish so much more easily. so don't worry anymore!
i'm about to go study at a cafe. i keep forgetting that school is the whole reason that i am here. it seems like such an inconvenience, getting in the way of my sunbathing and sight-seeing. hmm.
